Roderick D. Braye As an Associate Director at GLIDE, Mr. Braye’s primary focus is business assessments and personnel issues associated with both start-ups and on-going businesses. In addition to his duties at GLIDE, Mr. Braye is President of The Braye Group, a Human Resources/Human Capital consulting business based in Elyria, Ohio.

Prior to founding The Braye Group, Rod was the Vice President of Human Resources for the Central Office Services Group of Orius Corporation, a telecommunications company based in Amherst, Ohio. At Orius, he focused on developing HR systems and services in a rapidly growing business environment while serving as a member of the senior management team.

Prior to his tenure with Orius, Rod served as the Director of Human Resources for U.S. Cellular Corporation, a regional wireless telephone service provider based in Chicago, IL. In this role, he managed employee relations, office services, and recruitment activities for this $1 billion enterprise, with employees in more than 20 states.

Rod served as the Vice President of Human Resources for the Central Division of Advo, Inc. from 1991 to 1996. In this role, he was responsible for sales training, recruitment, labor and employee relations, performance management systems, and organizational design and change management activities for a 15 state region with nearly 2000 employees. He was inducted as a winner of the 1993 President’s Club award for outstanding performance.

Mr. Braye has also held challenging Human Resources leadership positions with Pizza Hut (PepsiCo), Beatrice Foods, and Johnson & Johnson. He served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1978.

Rod is a 1974 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a member of the Northern Ohio Human Resources Planning Society (NOHRPS) and also serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Directors for the Strong Tool Company, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, Rod is a member of The Notre Dame Club of Lorain County.

Rod and his wife, Anita, live in Avon Lake, Ohio, and are the proud parents of two children.
